LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – For the second week in a row,
Alana Robinson of the Lock Haven women's basketball team was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.
The Haven, who won its 11
th straight game after a 3-0 week, has now brought home a conference-high nine PSAC weekly awards.
The Bald Eagles (17-5 overall, 13-3 PSAC) are a perfect 11-0 in the Eastern Division and have already clinched a berth in the upcoming PSAC Championship Tournament.
With five-game remaining in the regular season, Lock Haven holds a three-game lead over the next closest team in the East. The Bald Eagles are seeking their third straight PSAC East regular season championship for the first time in program history.
At the forefront of the recent success has been senior forward Robinson, who is coming off another monster week on both ends of the court.
Robinson was the leading scorer for the Bald Eagles this week, scoring a career-high 31 points against Mansfield on Wednesday, before dropping 18 points against Bloomsburg on Monday and finished 13 points against Kutztown on Saturday.
Against Mansfield, Robinson finished 12-of-19 from the floor and 7-of-11 from the foul line on her way to a career-high 31 points.
Robinson also added 8.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists over the three games.
On the defensive end, the senior blocked six shots and plucked seven steals, including a season-high of six steals in the victory over Kutztown.

The Bald Eagles have the midweek off and will travel to Millersville at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14 for a PSAC road battle.
