INDIANAPOLIS – No. 30
Avery Bassett (174) of the Lock Haven men's wrestling team was named an at-large selection for the 2026 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championship.
Wrestlers will compete in the 2026 NCAA Division I Men's Wrestling Championships at Rocket Mortgage Areana in Cleveland, Ohio, from March 19-21, 2026.
Bassett will join fellow qualifiers from the MAC Championship: No. 22
Wyatt Henson (141), No. 21
Lucas Kapusta (149) and
Gable Strickland (133) on the biggest stage the sport has to offer in two weeks in Cleveland.
Nick Stampoulos (157) and
Sam Gautreau (184) also earned spots as first alternatives and will travel, weigh-in and be ready to wrestle.
The NCAA brackets and seeding will be announced on
NCAA.com at 8 p.m. on March 11.
The at-large selections were made by the NCAA Division I Wrestling Committee using the following selection criteria: head-to-head competition, quality wins, results against common opponents, winning percentage, ratings percentage index, coaches ranking and conference tournament finish.
