 VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Josiah Schans and Eric Zalar of the Lock Haven men's indoor track and field team competed in the 2026 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Virginia Beach Sports Center on Friday afternoon (March 13).
The pair of Bald Eagles earned All-American Honorable Mentions from their performances.
Schans competed in the 60m Hurdles. Schans finished in 17th place, crossing the finish line in 8.18 seconds.Â
Schans finishes his junior indoor season as the Bald Eagle event record holder with a mark of 7.94 and a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Champion.
Zalar competed in the Weight Throw. He finished in 18th place, with a throw of 58-8.5 (17.89m).
Zalar finishes his junior indoor season as the Lock Haven Weight Throw record holder reaching the mark of 67-2 (20.47m) and a PSAC runner-up.
The duo will take the momentum of record-breaking indoor seasons and national championship appearances into the upcoming outdoor season where they will look to make their mark even more on the all-time Lock Haven record book.
