FULL RESULTS
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lock Haven women's outdoor track and field team had a strong showing at the Coach Pollard Invitational on Friday (April 17) and Saturday (April 18) with many standout performances.
The Javelin Throw trio of Olivia Spotts, Ava Komorowski and Maria Puglia continued their dominant season with first, second and third-place finishes in the event. Spotts reached a mark of 128-7.25 (39.20m), Komorowski landed 127-1.25 (39.00m) and Puglia achieved 127-2.25 (38.77m).
All three women earned Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship qualifying marks.
Alyssa VanGorder took first place in the Hammer Throw. VanGorder reached a PSAC qualifying mark of 160-2.75 (48.84m).
Reagan Irons and Samantha Trench tied for the first-place medal in the High Jump. Both women cleared the mark of 5-2 (1.58m).
Lillian Bradley had an impressive day in the sprints. Bradley had the second-fastest time in Lock Haven history in the 100m by finishing in 12.36. She also moved up to fifth place in school history in the 200m ranks with a 25.57. Both times were PSAC qualifiers.
The Bald Eagles had three top-five finishers in the 400m Hurdles. Makayla Grace Weber took second with a 1:04.70. Kelci Carle finished fourth with a 1:05.62. Both Weber and Carle's times were PSAC qualifiers. Natalie Gentzel crossed the finish line in 1:06.51 and took fifth.
Kaydence Strange earned second place in the 3000m Steeplechase. Strange finished in 11:53.96 and punched her ticket to the PSAC Championships.
Clarissa Davis took fifth in the Shot Put by reaching a PSAC qualifying mark of 40-0.25 (12.20m).
Laurie Thompson took sixth in the Hammer Throw and nearly reached a PSAC qualifier with a 147-0.5 (44.82m).
Nicole Carroll took seventh in 400m and earned a conference championship qualifying time of 59.38.
Samantha Trench ran an impressive PSAC qualifying time of 14.84 in the 100m Hurdles prelims but did not compete in the event finals this afternoon.
Mallory Eck came extremely close to a PSAC qualifying mark in the Discus Throw (123-11.25/37.78m).

The Lock Haven women's track and field team will send athletes to compete in the Penn Relays (University of Pennsylvania) and the Paul Kiser Invitational (Shippensburg) on Friday (April 24) and Saturday (April 25) for its final meets before the PSAC Championships.
