The Lock Haven football starting quarterback from 1992-95, Bob McLaughlin '95 earned All-PSAC honors twice, ECAC Rookie of the Year honors and filled his name throughout the program record book.

McLaughlin remains the program record holder for single-game completions (36) and attempts (61), single-season completions (261) and attempts (502) and career yards (10,640), completions (910), attempts (1,719). His program record for career attempts was a previous NCAA DII record.Â

All four of his seasons at quarterback rank in the program's top-10 for passing yards in a season, while his 2,973 total from 1995 ranks third. His final three seasons remain ranked in the top-10 for single-season touchdowns and yards per game, with a career-high of 18 touchdowns in 1993 (4th) and career-high 283.2 yards per game in 1995 (2nd). He is also second all-time in career touchdowns with 60.

In arguably his best game of his career, McLaughlin threw for a program-record 520 yards vs. California (Pa.) and was later featured on ESPN for his efforts.

During all three seasons with McLaughlin under center, the Bald Eagles' offense was ranked nationally.
