A quick look at Rider:Rider is coming off a 21-16 EWL-loss to Cleveland State on Saturday, Feb. 7. The loss snapped a three-match win streak for the Broncs, who had beaten Bloomsburg (EWL), Hofstra and Drexel in recent weeks.

The LHU – Rider Series:Lock Haven leads the all-time series that dates back to 1975, 16-6. The Broncs however have won four straight over Lock Haven. Last season marked Rider's first as an EWL member.

Garcia inching toward history:Fred Garcia went 5-2 last week, moving to 29-6 on the season. The 29 wins this season push his career total to 98 – now just two wins away from joining an elite group of Bald Eagle wrestlers, who've won 100 matches or more in the LHU singlet. Lock Haven has had 15 wrestlers win 100 or more matches in school history, with the last coming in 2007 (Seth Martin, 2002-'07; 133 wins).

Solid results in dual action last week:The Bald Eagles went 1-1 in EWL dual action last week – hammering Clarion 34-6, before being edged by No. 15 Edinboro, 21-14. Lock Haven won eight of 10 bouts, including five by bonus point and two by pin in the lopsided win over Clarion. LHU won four bouts vs. Edinboro.

Edinboro Open:Several Bald Eagles took part in Saturday's (Feb. 7) Edinboro Open – competing unattached, including
Fred Garcia, who went 4-1 and took second at 184 pounds.
Ronnie Perry picked up a pair of wins at 133 before defaulting out. He was fourth overall.
Tristan Sponseller went 4-1 at 197 (third) and
Aaron McKinney was 4-1 at 165 (sixth).
Adam Mackie added a sixth-place finish at 184.
