LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Devon Mason of the Lock Haven women's soccer team was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Defensive Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.
 
The Athlete of the Week honor marks the second time this season Mason has brought home the award.
 
The freshman goalkeeper led the Bald Eagles to an unbeaten week in PSAC West play, with a pair of shutouts against UPJ and Cal (Pa.). 
 
The freshman finished the week with two clean sheets and nine saves, while facing 21 shots over two matches.
 
In the 1-0 victory at UPJ, Mason stopped six shots on target and face 11 shots from the Mountain Cats.
 
In the scoreless tie vs. Cal (Pa.), Mason made three saves and face 10 shots. 
 
Mason now has six shutouts in her first season of collegiate soccer.

The Bald Eagles continue their home stand and will host Clarion (PSAC West) on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 6:30 p.m. at Hubert Jack Stadium.
